I Asked AI to Design a Cafe — Then I Built It in Real Life
From a conversation with ChatGPT to a real restaurant in Phalia, Pakistan
What happens when artificial intelligence stops being just a chatbot and becomes part of a real-world business journey?
This is the story of Heer Ranjha Cafe & Restaurant, a cafe in Phalia, Punjab, Pakistan—and how I used ChatGPT throughout the process of developing the concept, interior ideas, menu, branding and promotional strategy.
Welcome to another experiment from the Mind Logic Vault AI.

🧠 The Idea Started With a Simple Question
I wanted to build a cafe.
But I didn't want it to look like every other cafe.
I wanted something connected to Punjabi culture, storytelling and the legendary tale of Heer and Ranjha, while still feeling modern enough for today's customers.
The challenge was simple:
How do you turn an idea in your head into an actual business?
That's where AI entered the process.
🤖 What I Asked ChatGPT
Instead of hiring a large team for every stage of planning, I started using ChatGPT as a brainstorming and planning partner.
I explored questions such as:
🏠 Interior Design
What should the cafe look like?
The ideas evolved around:
- Heer Ranjha-inspired artwork
- Traditional Punjabi elements
- Qawwali-inspired atmosphere
- Clay cups and matkas
- Bamboo-style decoration
- Traditional lanterns and warm lighting
- Decorative cultural elements
- A memorable entrance and photo spots
The objective wasn't simply decoration.
The interior itself needed to tell a story.
🍔 Menu & Menu-Book Design
The next challenge was the food.
I used AI to brainstorm menu categories, food combinations, pricing concepts and presentation ideas.
The menu developed around popular fast-food and cafe items such as:
Pizza • Burgers • Zinger • Wings • Nuggets • Sandwiches • Tea • Special Chai & more
I also explored how a physical menu book could be designed to match the overall Heer Ranjha identity.
This was an important lesson:
«A menu isn't just a list of food. It's part of the customer's experience.»
☕ Creating a Signature Cafe Experience
One concept I particularly wanted was a special traditional-style chai experience.
Instead of treating tea as just another item on the menu, the idea was to make it part of the cafe's identity.
Traditional presentation, clay cups, special ingredients and the overall atmosphere could turn something as simple as tea into an experience customers remember.
🎨 From Digital Ideas to Physical Space
This is where the experiment became real.
AI can suggest an interior.
It can generate concepts.
It can write a menu.
It can create marketing ideas.
But AI can't physically build the cafe.
Someone still has to:
Rent the place.
Buy the equipment.
Arrange the furniture.
Hire staff.
Purchase ingredients.
Deal with electricity and operating costs.
Get the required permissions.
Open the doors.
Serve the first customer.
That's where human effort takes over.
🔄 The AI → Reality Pipeline
This became my personal workflow:
STEP 1 — 💡 IDEA
Think about what the business could become.
STEP 2 — 🤖 AI
Use ChatGPT to brainstorm possibilities.
STEP 3 — 🎨 DESIGN
Turn the ideas into concepts for the interior, branding and menu.
STEP 4 — 💰 REALITY CHECK
Calculate costs, prices, equipment, staff and practical requirements.
STEP 5 — 🛠️ EXECUTION
Build and arrange the physical business.
STEP 6 — 👥 CUSTOMERS
The ultimate test: real people experiencing the result.
That's the difference between an AI idea and an AI-assisted business.
🧪 What This Experiment Taught Me
The biggest lesson wasn't that ChatGPT can generate ideas.
Everyone already knows that.
The interesting part was discovering how useful AI becomes when you repeatedly bring its ideas back into the real world.
You ask.
You test.
You reject some ideas.
You improve others.
You calculate.
You execute.
Then you come back and ask AI again.
It's an ongoing feedback loop.
🧠 Mind Logic Vault AI: The Bigger Picture
This cafe became more than just a restaurant project for me.
It became an example of something I wanted Mind Logic Vault AI to explore:
Can artificial intelligence change the way ordinary people create things?
Maybe AI isn't only about robots, futuristic laboratories or Silicon Valley startups.
Maybe it can also help someone sitting in a small city in Punjab take an idea from their mind and turn it into something people can physically experience.
That's the part of AI that fascinates me.
📍 Heer Ranjha Cafe & Restaurant
Phalia, Punjab, Pakistan
A cafe inspired by Punjabi culture, Heer Ranjha, traditional aesthetics and modern food culture.
But behind the visible cafe is another story:
An experiment in human creativity + artificial intelligence + real-world execution.
🔮 What's Next?
The cafe is not the end of the experiment.
It's only the beginning.
I'll continue documenting what happens when AI is used for:
- Business ideas
- Marketing
- Branding
- Menu development
- Social media
- Customer engagement
- Website development
- Business analysis
- New product ideas
Because the real question isn't:
“Can AI create an idea?”
The better question is:
“What can YOU build with that idea?”
